No it’s not a craft massacre, it’s just a normal day in my house. Well, it was when I took these photos over 9 months ago. Nowadays these would-be massacres come in any number of enamel paint colours.
This is an idea that has been floating around the internet for a while and I am terribly sorry to say that I can’t now find where I first saw the idea but it’s certainly not my own.
I did find this tutorial (and pinned it to Pinterest) that uses spray paint instead of enamel paint but for me it’s not quite the same as I love the enamelliness (new word – hurrah) that the thick paint gives it.
Now, I don’t want you to be intimidated, but I did use some pretty high tech gadegtry and techniques in the making of this.
Loving the result.
In the future, I am planning on dipping salad servers, vintage scissor handles and all manner of bits and pieces.
