Mini fabric bunting + embroidery = a sweet baby gift

Last week we welcomed the newest addition to our extended family. The very, very sweet Violet Josephine arrived happy and healthy and we are so thrilled she’s here.  I do love me a little baby. I’m looking forward to lots of snuggles with my tiniest niece.

I made this little gift to take to my sister Cassie in the hospital. It’s the love child of my mini bunting and the framed embroidery. The gift that is. Not Violet. Violet’s the love child of Cassie and Jon Bon Jovi.

Why are you looking at me like that?

  1. Congratulations on your new niece! We have a Violet too. My daughter who is almost 7 months old now is Violet Charles. It is a sweet name.

    • Thanks so much Natasha. Yes I love Jon too. Deeply. Aahhhhh, I am finally out and proud in my love for Bonj. It’s been a 20 year love affair.

    • Thanks Thea. I’m glad you like it. I used split pins for the silver dots. Is that what they’re called? You know the things with double prongs you use to hold paper together and flatten the prongs flat once you’ve pushed them through the paper? A very technical explanation there.

  2. Hehehe! Living on A Prayer is my fave! I too have loved Jon for many years – from the age of 6! He looked great when I saw Bon Jovi play in Melbourne when they were last here. Ahhhh! I actually took my New Jersey CD with me to the hospital to play while I was in labour with Pip! haha!
